Oil to Iron Honors the Legacy of Erick Foster

Following the success of Ruff Ride 2020, Team Foster is preparing for our next event as part of our mission to ensure No Hero is Left Behind. On November 7, 15 cyclists will participate in Oil to Iron, a 100-mile ride from Oil City to Pittsburgh, PA.

The event commemorates the legacy of our founding inspiration, Captain Erick Foster. Erick was born in Oil City and swore his oath to join the Army in Pittsburgh. The event will conclude at Soldiers and Sailors Museum where Erick took his oath.

Oil to Iron is being held in partnership with Three Rivers Battalion, a Pittsburgh-based Army ROTC program. Three Rivers Battalion is set to host a “bicycle crunch challenge” at the finish point, in which the cadets will do 5 (2-count) bicycle crunches for every $5 raised.

All proceeds made will be used to train and partner service dogs with local Veterans battling PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) at no cost.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support of our Veterans. We look forward to seeing all of our riders on November 7.
