Steve is a semi-retired higher education professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting college students and creating opportunities for others to grow, lead, and make a positive impact in their communities.

He now spends his time advising, coaching, and staying actively involved in his kids’ school. He and his wife, Amy, have two children who keep them happily busy and chaotic with their many activities, and they love spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling, exploring, and discovering new corners of this amazing planet.

Team Foster—and Nick—found their way to Steve's doorstep when the Chancellor’s Office asked him to assemble a cycling team for the first Ruff Ride event in Pittsburgh. Playing a small part in supporting this mission-driven organization that supports veterans and honors Erick's memory, is purposeful work and it is a privilege to serve on the board.
