Benjamin Young is a purpose-driven leader whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to service and community. Raised in a family with deep military roots, he learned early the importance of loyalty, integrity, and giving back. Benjamin’s life has been a tapestry of diverse experiences: Maryland State Trooper, Maryland Attorney’s General Firearms Trafficking Investigator, Emergency Medical Technician, Banking Executive, Husband, and the highest title Dad. In 2021, he aligned his talents with his passion for purpose and became Chief Executive Officer of 3Hill Credit Union.

A lifelong learner, Benjamin holds an MBA from The College of William and Mary, a B.S. in Accounting, and proudly recalls his attendance at both the U.S. Naval Academy, and Marion Military Institute- experiences that shaped him profoundly.

Benjamin’s adversities along the way have molded the golden value he places in doing hard things. Comfort has its place but does not help us grow.

At the center of his world: Melissa, Justin, and Jackson—the ‘Fantastic Four,’ the reason behind every fight and every dream. Fueled by music, he’s all about George Strait’s country swagger, The Strumbellas’ poetry, and the soulful flow of The Allman Brothers. And when he wants something that really hits home, “Lucky Man” by The Verve is his go-to.

His involvement with Team Foster, supporting veterans and service members, underscores his belief that life is measured by what we give, not what we take.

If you’d like to connect, share stories, or just grab a beverage, Benjamin is always up for a good conversation.

“My passion for Team Foster comes from its purpose. The chaotic, dark, often silent, often loud, and unexplainable in some ways, effects of both PTSD and TBI have left their impact on so many that walk towards the danger. Maybe this helps.”
