No Hero Left Behind

Team Foster is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting injured and disabled veterans by funding the training and placement of accredited, life-saving service dogs at no cost to the veterans, along with providing lifelong support for each veteran-dog team. We also advocate for the rights and fair treatment of veterans and their service dogs in communities, workplaces, and legislative settings. Additionally, Team Foster educates the public nationwide about the challenges veterans face and the transformative impact that properly trained service dogs can have on their lives.

Warrior Cainine Connection

Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) is a nonprofit organization founded by social worker Rick Yount to support the recovery of veterans with psychological and physical injuries through a unique therapeutic model involving service dog training. Inspired by the healing impact of a therapy dog named Gabe, WCC uses a Mission Based Trauma Recovery approach, where veterans train service dogs for fellow veterans. This process helps them reconnect with others, manage symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI), and reintegrate into civilian life. By focusing on the dogs’ needs and progress, Warrior Trainers experience emotional healing, improved family relationships, and renewed purpose, while also providing highly trained service dogs to veterans with disabilities—all at no cost to the recipients.

America's VetDog

America’s VetDogs® is dedicated to helping U.S. veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities regain dignity and independence through the support of expertly trained service dogs. These dogs assist with physical tasks, guide individuals with vision loss, support those with PTSD, and aid in rehabilitation at military and VA facilities. Despite the high cost to train and place each dog, all services are provided free of charge, funded by generous donors. Applicants join a supportive community and undergo a two-week, in-residence training at the organization’s New York campus, where they build a strong bond with their dog and receive personalized instruction from compassionate, certified trainers.
