Newsroom: Warriors train service dogs for veterans — and sometimes heal themselves (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

As Team Foster expands our footprint, we are excited to share a feature on how our partnership with Warrior Canine Connection and Duquesne University supports the Veteran community in Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding communities.

This Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article by Abby Kirkland shares how impactful Dave Snedeker's, Army and Army National Guard Veteran, service dog is to him in improving his daily life, managing feelings of isolation and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In addition to Warrior Canine Connection, Team Foster has established partnerships with two additional training partners in the Pittsburgh region. These relationships, which mimic how the existing relationships in the greater Philadelphia region have been operating since 2014, provide a stable and reliable foundation for our work. With a footprint on each side of the Commonwealth, all programs are the first accredited service dog programs for Veterans in the respective regions.

Thanks you, Dave, for sharing your story.
